Prologue to War

Posted: July 3, 2010 in It's All Important Stuff

Spartacus Strikes first.  Fabulous Fabian seems unbeatable in a time trial. Did you see those ginormous legs?  Fabian is a beast and he is a very cool guy.  Congrats and thanks for honoring the maillot jaune!

Lance looks 31 years old and ripped the roads in Rotterdam for a very strong 4th place today.  The important story is that he gained a few seconds on that whiner Contador.  Lance road the prologue in 32+ miles per hour average.  It surely does look like he has the form to contend.

The top five is: 1. Fabian Cancellara (SUI) SAX – 8.9km in 10’00″ (53.4km/h) 2. Tony Martin (GER) THR at 10″ 3. David Millar (GBR) GRM at 20″ 4. Lance Armstrong (USA) at 22″ 5. Gerraint Thomas (GBR) SKY at 23″

Oh yeah, and Alberto was not in the top 5.  Lance didn’t exactly pass Contador for a minute, the way he did Jan Ullrich in 2005, but this is a big moral victory.
