Seriously Alejet?

Sprints in the tour are chaos.  It is like riding on the Thursday night ride from CSH.

Alessandro Petacchi hasn’t ridden the Tour de France since 2004, then, today, he takes out a crash marred finale.  Yes, he was best amongst those whom stayed upright. The first crash, with 2K to go took out Mark Cavendish and Oscar Freire. Tyler Farrar was already chilling champagne, when the second and bigger crash took out everyone else.

The whiners are already tossing blame, especially Cavendish.  Perhaps all Alejet needed to reignite his fire was a win.  And hey, he won!

All of the GC contenders stayed relativey safe with Brent Bookwalter – who? – now pinned to 11th.  Brent, clearly has one of the coolest time trial bikes, but this guy can really ride.  Heads up, he may be for real, when Cadel has his customary melt down, or his Cadel muscle in the back of his leg cramps, Brent may be the new team leader for BMC.

Oh, and Versus totally sucks for going over time AGAIN and causing crashious interuptus until I could watch the next showing.  Good Lordy Versus, please get this right.
